GraCity at the De-TECH Final Event 2026 in Hannover

On 6–7 July 2026, GraCity took part in the De-TECH Final Event 2026 in Hannover, Germany, hosted by the Institute for Innovation Research, Technology Management & Entrepreneurship (ITE) at Leibniz University Hannover, within the EU-funded De-TECH – Deep Tech European Venture Builder project.

The Final Event combined two parallel formats: the Deep Tech European Venture Builder Competition, where selected teams pitched their startups to a jury for four prizes of €15,000 each, and the De-TECH Innovation Tech Challenge Workshop, focused this year on Agriculture & Food, with challenges submitted by Pfeifer & Langen, Natura Altaica and GraCity.

GraCity was proud to be selected as a finalist in the Deep Tech European Venture Builder Competition, pitching our AI-driven approach to urban climate resilience and soil health monitoring before an international jury of industry and academic experts. While GraCity did not win in any category, reaching the final stage among startups from across Europe reflects the strength and relevance of our climate-tech approach.

In parallel, GraCity also contributed Tech Challenge 3: “AI-Enabled MRV System for Soil Health Monitoring”, inviting international student teams to develop an AI-based measurement, reporting and verification system integrating satellite imagery, sensors and field data to evaluate regenerative agricultural practices.

Our CEO, Yajaira Thibisay Martínez Jaimes, represented GraCity throughout the event, delivering the final pitch during the Competition & Demo Day at the historic Leibnizhaus in Hannover.
